This sophisticated updo consists of large sleek curls. The bold highlights accentuate the lines of the hairstyle. The style is created by separating the front section off and clipping it out of the way. Separate a section of hair at the nape (neckline) area and clip it out of the way. Brush all of the hair in the back section (not including the nape area) up into a high ponytail. Secure with a covered elastic band. The next step is to loosen the ponytail and allow the hair to be fuller instead a slicked back. Hold the ponytail up in one hand. With the other hand, slide the elastic band out, away from the head, about one half inch. Push the ponytail down on the head and use insert bobby pins around the elastic band to hold it in place while allowing for a small amount of poof on top of the head. Use firm hold hair spray around the ponytail base to help hold it in place.

Tease the hair in the nape section and spray it with hair spray. Divide it into three sections and carefully smooth each section and pin the ends up next to the elastic band.
Un-clip the ponytail. .Select a strand of hair from the back of the ponytail, tease, spray and form a curl in the same manner as described for the front. Repeat the process until that section of hair is curled and arranged so that the curls cover the elastic band and all bobby pins. Use the hair from the center of the ponytail to fill bare spots and to form a symmetrical cluster of curls.
To finish the style, un-clip the hair in the front and smooth it around the face. Tuck the ends under a curl and secure it with a bobby pin. Spray the entire style with firm hold hair spray.
