A Feng Shui Vision BoardA vision board is a tool to help you realize your goals, dreams and hopes. Pictures and other items are placed on the board as a visual reminder so you don’t lose sight of what is really important to you. A Feng Shui vision board uses the Ba Gua to position the pictures and items to draw on the natural energy around us all for even more effectiveness. The Ba Gua is an ancient and powerful tool used in Feng Shui to control and direct positive energy. The Ba Gua in its basic form is a grid of nine equal segments. Each segment is associated with some personal aspect of your life. Divide your Feng Shui vision board into the nine equal blocks of the Ba Gua and then place your pictures and goals according to the Ba Gua energy information. The top left block is the Prosperity segment. The top middle block is the Reputation segment. The top right block is the Relationships segment. The middle left block is the Family segment. The middle block is the Health segment. The middle right block is the Creativity segment. The bottom left block is the Wisdom segment. The bottom middle block is the Career segment. The bottom right block is the Travel segment. Below are a few suggestions for each block of your Fung Shui vision board but you can use your own imagination for what works best for you. Just follow the energy related to each segment. When building your Feng Shui vision board, place the pictures and goals for accumulating wealth and prosperity in the top left portion of the board. To further decorate your vision board, you might use colors such as purple, blue or red in this block. In the top middle block of your vision board you should have pictures or goals for attaining fame or a good reputation. If you have a business, you might include something that refers to customer service in this segment. The color red can be used very effectively in this block. The top right block is where you should place any pictures or goals for your relationships or marriage. You should use colors such as red, pink or white to highlight this block. The middle left block of your vision board is where you place pictures of your family or images of goals you have for them. Use blue or green colors in this block. The middle center block is the health segment. Here is where you emphasize any health issue you might have that need corrected or if you are trying to lose weight, place a picture of you at your ideal weight here. Highlight this block with the color yellow. The middle right block is the creativity and also the children segment. Here you should place your goals for anything creative you are working on and also any goals you have for your children. The colors to use in this block are whites or pastels. In the bottom left block, concentrate on any goals you have for furthering your education or acquiring more knowledge. The colors you should use in this block are black, blue or green. The bottom middle block is your career block. Any visions or aspirations you have for your career goes in this block. Highlight this block with black or dark tones. The bottom left block is the travel block. Add pictures of vacation spots you would like to visit or travel you’d like to do. The colors used in this block are white, gray or black. Some consider the middle center block the grounding segment but I've always had more luck with this as the health segment. They combine health with family in the middle left block. Experiment with these to draw your own conclusions. This is just a basic foundation for building your Feng Shui vision board. You should use your own imagination and ideas to personalize for your own goals and dreams. I found this book about Ba Gua vision boards interesting.
