Final race of the 2005 season

The final race at Valencia will also see the return of Loris Capirossi after making an excellent recovery from the injuries he received after the crash at Phillip Island. Although Valentino Rossi has once again won the World Championship, the battle for the lower placings will continue with the gap between Melandri and Hayden only 9 points, Edwards who is currently placed fourth, will also be looking to possibly displace Nicky from his third place, with a gap of 15 points.
Max Biaggi is 8 points behind Edwards and will also be looking for a podium and a boost up the points chart to end his season on a high note. Sete Gibernau will also be looking for a win or podium at least in front of his home country to make up for his disappointing season, even if he is leading the charge for the BMW award for the fastest qualifying speed.
Kurtis Roberts will also join the starting grid riding a Proton KR V5 for Team Roberts for the final race. So although the championship has been won, there is still going to be plenty of action on the track and it should be an exciting finale for 2005.
