2010 LINEUP FOR 2ND ANNUAL
ROCK AND WORSHIP ROADSHOW REVEALED
2nd Annual Rock and Worship Roadshow
The 2nd Annual Rock and Worship Roadshow will kick off on March 18th in Indianapolis. Those set to perform duing the event are MercyMe, David Crowder Band, Family Force 5, Francesca Battistelli, Fee, Remedy Drive and Sidewalk Prophets.
Last year, the Rock and Worship Roadshow drew more than 170k fans to major cities across the U.S. and this year hopes to continue to attract people by the thousands providing them the best entertainment along with a meaningful message.
“We are so excited to be back for this tour with such an incredible group of artists,” says MercyMe’s Bart Millard. “We’re going to have a great time.”
Admission prices will again be $10 at-the-door, as the tour aims to be an event for fans of all ages, especially families. In addition to bringing a night of exciting performances, the tour is also dedicated to a much greater purpose: helping children with juvenile diabetes via “Imagine A Cure”, a non profit organization geared to raise awareness and to support research that will lead to a cure along with Compassion International, a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults. Sanctus Real Tour
Sanctus Real will release its fifth studio album, Pieces Of A Real Heart, and kick off a tour to celebrate its release. The group's hit "Forgiven" was first streamed on its website (www.SanctusReal.com) and listeners were asked to share their own stories of forgiveness. Hundreds of profound stories from all around the world began flowing through the site. “I underestimated the power of forgiveness,” explains Sanctus Real lead vocalist Matt Hammitt in a recent press release. “I was expecting people to write ‘God is good, I am forgiven,’ which is a true statement of faith, but people began confessing their deepest, darkest secrets on the site, sending letters to people they need forgiveness from or need to forgive. It’s amazing to see how God can use my own insignificant insecurities, failures and fears to spark a song that ministers to so many others needing forgiveness. Praise God that we are forgiven, from the seemingly insignificant things to the biggest of failures.”
The band will kick-off it tour with guests Addison Road, Above the Golden State, Me In Motion and Speaker Sammy Adebiyi. The tour launches March 3 in Phoenix and travels coast to coast through April 18. This leg of its 2010 tour is sponsored by the charity, Mocha Club (www.mochaclub.org), an online community of people giving up the cost of two mochas a month ($7) to fund relief and development projects in Africa.
