Tomorrow Never Dies - 1997 Starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. This time 007 goes up against an evil man named Elliot Carver played by Jonathan Pryce. Mr. Carver's mission is to try to start World War III, which would complete his global empire. To achieve his goal, he tries to start a confrontation over British and Chinese waters, but first he must gain the broadcasting rights in China. 007 gains the help of a woman named Wai Lin, played by Michelle Yeoh. Of course, his biggest surprise is finding his ex lover played by Teri Hatcher, married to the man he is trying to destroy.
Here are some of the mistakes I found.
When Bond jumps onto the ocean it shows one of his flippers, being knocked off. A little later, you can see the flipper floating away. In the next shot, showing Bond swimming away you can clearly see that he has both flippers.
After sharing a shower with the Chinese agent, Bond is handcuffed. It clearly shows her hair wet from the shower. As she runs away, her hair is dry.
During the motorcycle chase scene, the vehicle becomes extremely dirty hitting all those bags on the side of the road. In a subsequent shot, you can see that the vehicle is completely clean.
In the hotel scene, it shows Bond with a glass of vodka. If you watch closely, the amount of vodka keeps changing.
After Dr. Kauffman, played by Vincent Schiavelli, has killed Carver's wife In Bond's hotel room, he removes the tape that has been playing. As he holds the tape up it shows it completely rewound, as if it had never been started.
When Bond breaks into the lab on the roof, he places his phone into his left pocket. Shortly after, Bond takes the phone out of his right pocket.
I have always loved the Bond films. However, for some reason they seem to have an extreme amount of mistakes. Of course, if you are a one-time movie watcher you probably will not notice them. I am one who likes to watch movies repeatedly. The more I watch them the more I find. Mistakes aside, I do feel that Pierce Brosnan does an excellent job as James Bond and I will continue to watch these over and over.
