Olwyn Horwood has again shown her skill at creating beautiful antique style samplers with this lovely book.
There is always something appealing about a sampler - and with these the themes will satisfy you, whatever you feel like stitching.
From the simple elegance of the Adam and Eve Sampler, to the glorious shades of the Pomegranite Sampler, and the intricacy of the beautiful Double Band Sampler, this book will enable you to turn out true masterpieces of stitching.
As is usual with the books put out by Georgeson, the print and instructions are clear and well written. The stitch instructions are some of the best I have ever seen, and all in all this books is a joy to peruse.
I must admit to having become hooked on samplers in the past couple of years, and with this book, not only am I itching to stitch them, but also inspired to use up some of the many band patterns I have collected over the years in a sampler of my own.
Whether you want to stitch, or be inspired - this is a great book.
