250cc Malaysia World Championship
Sepang, Malayasia hosted the latest round of the Motogp World Championship and with a hundred points still up for grabs, the top three need to snatch all the points they can get. Casey Stoner won a hard earned bonus with his two main rivals going off in the early stages of the race.

Andrea Dovizioso highsided and crashed out, making a total of five riders out by the 2nd lap and extending Stoners lead in the standings. Daniel Pedrosa went off on the 3rd lap for his first DNF for the 2005 season handing Casey Stoner a huge reduction in the points chase for the title.

Anthony West also retired on lap 5 with engine failure followed a few laps later by Simon Corsi who lost the front end of his bike and crashed off into the kitty litter on lap 9.

Casey Stoner led by a comfortable distance for the rest of the race followed by Alex De Angelis and Porto with Randy De Puniet battling Sebastian Porto for a podium place. Lap 19 saw Porto pull clear of Randy De Puniet to take third place on the podium.
