Attention all parents and professionals within the autism community:

The first Autism Spectrum Disorders site chat will be taking place. The weekly event will be on Sundays at 4:00 pm EASTERN TIME. This is 1:00 pm PACIFIC TIME.

The World Clock will show you what time it is at this very moment in major cities across the World. I hope this will help International readers with deciphering what time the chat is held in their time zone.

I chose Sunday since it is a slow day, usually stay at home for my family. For the pacific time zone it is right after lunch and prior to dinner for the east coast participants. We always go first thing in the morning when out and about on weekends, so this time works well for me and no other site is utilizing the chat room at this time.

Here is how to get to the Chat LOGIN page. You will need to register to use the chat room with a brand new user name and password, or if you are a forum user that login name works here.

I recommend doing this beforehand so you will arrive at the chat on time and not miss anything.


If for any reason you cannot make a chat, feel free to visit the Autism Forum and share any particular issue you are currently faced with. There are several regular posters with a response usually in under 24 hours.

Bella has also introduced a new feature located in our Bio pages. To read about the author you click on the name of the site Editor. Under my name, Bonnie Sayers you have the data about me with a box for email address and a larger one for a comment. This states, Submit a Comment - Suggestion - Request to this Editor. Feel free to use this feature if you have an idea for a chat or topic you are in need of discussing. This will allow me to research the topic to assist us in the chat.

My Chat Room ID as the Moderator of the Autism Spectrum Disorders site is BellaAutismHost, the same id that I use in the Forums.

I encourage all parents, relatives and friends of those within the Autism Community to join the weekly chats. This is also for professionals in the field, including teachers and therapists. All are welcome that have an interest in learning and/or discussing Autism Spectrum Disorders.

I look forward to meeting you in the chat room on Sundays. It can be a serious time or a place to let your hair down and vent about a particular issue that took place at school, community, home or with a spouse or family member.
