What are the Secrets to Becoming a Millionaire?
Did you know that millionaires think differently than those without bulging bank accounts? It’s true according to T.Harv Eker’s book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. Eker looks at the way you first learned to think about money and actually makes a connection to how you view money today.
He says your own thoughts can hold you back from being wealthy. It works like this: What you think about you create. Good or bad. If you have a hidden invisible belief about money and your ability to make it, that belief will manifest in the visible. So the place to begin to build wealth is in what you think, feel and believe.
This is much more than an exercise in positive affirmations. The principles in the book help you create a new platform or foundation for growing wealth in your business. After reading the book, my view of my company’s financial future changed. I now know that I have what it takes to grow to a million dollar corporation. Before I hoped we would grow, now I know that we will grow and have put systems in place to support what I believe.
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind was so thought and action provoking that I want to share a few of the main viewpoints here:
• If you want to change the visible you have to change the invisible.
• Rich people focus on opportunities. Poor people focus on obstacles.
• If you are not fully, totally, and truly committed to creating wealth, chances are you won’t.
• Rich people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.
• Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know.
This is an interesting book to read even if you feel that you have a healthy and prosperous view of achieving wealth. Once you dive into the pages, you may recognize little defeating thought or action patterns that are sabotaging your goal. I recommend this book for your business library. This is an important read not only for yourself, but anyone who works with you in your business. This is on the top of my Christmas list for my team! Yes, I’m thinking ahead already!
