Home Spa Treatment - Easy and Inexpensive
Everyone likes to be pampered, but who has the time? Between our families and our careers, it doesn't leave much time available for trips to a local salon. However, you can create a simple and inexpensive home spa experience that you'll love.

If you have kids, the first thing you need to do is arrange some kind of child care for a few hours. That might be dropping the off at Grandma's house or maybe even swapping babysitting with a trusted friend (so she can give herself a home spa treatment at another time!).

Next, make sure your bathroom space is warm and inviting. You may need to clean the bathroom first – but don't skip this step! It's hard to relax when you see tiles that need scrubbing and dirty laundry that needs washing.

A few plants set up around the tub edge along with a few scented candles and soft music will set the mood for a fantastic experience. Make sure you have some thick, fluffy towels nearby and a soft robe for yourself when you're done.

Now put your hair up and start with a facial mask – make sure to use one that designed for your particular skin type. Lay down on your bed with a few cucumber slices on your eyes or a scented eye pillow and rest. It's best to rest for 10 to 15 minutes to give the mask plenty of time to dry and to give you plenty of time to start your relaxation process.

The next step is to remove the mask with cool water and moisturize your face and neck with your favorite deep moisturizer. I like to use night cream for this step since it's usually heavier and more nourishing.

Now you're ready for the bath. Make sure the water is warm (not hot!) and you can add scented oil, bath salts or a nice bubble bath. Get in and relax for as long as you like. I like to close my eyes and listen to the music. You can practically feel the stresses of the day melting away.

When your bath is over, dry off with your fluffy towels, slather on moisturizer and wrap yourself in a nice soft robe. Make sure to take your time and enjoy the experience.

If you want to continue on to your hands and feet, this is a great time for extra moisturizing, pumice stone and light massage. It's also a great time to shape and buff your nails while they're still soft from the bath.

If your spa treatment is in the evening, go ahead and go right into your pajamas. You should be so relaxed that sleep will come easily. If you have to get dressed in street clothes, make sure you put something on that feels good and reflects your newly revitalized self.

This home spa treatment can be as simple or complex as you choose to make it. It will take a bit of time, but it's definitely worth it. You'll be relaxed, refreshed and gorgeous when you're done!
