Daniel Robinson is a singer and songwriter living in Buffalo, NY but recording out of Toronto, ON. From the early age of five, the young musician fell in love with music after listening to the likes of Elton John and Bruce Springsteen, and ever since he's known that he wanted to perfect his own musical craft. Discovering his true artistic identity as he grew older, Robinson has lately been more inspired by the sounds and lyrics of LIGHTS, Bjork, OWL CITY and Michael Buble. Daniel's passion for music allows him to explore different genres and textures, and he has since created the signature deep-space, electronica sound and liquid smooth voice that we hear today.

After being declared the title as the winner of the 2012 John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Daniel Robinson has released his latest introspective single titled "Deep River." Since receiving the award in the Electronic music category, the young singer-songwriter is dedicated to giving his fans another dose of his electro-pop talent. "Deep River" is available for download on iTunes, and the new single comes as the first release from his upcoming EP.

With a soothing infusion of heart-felt melodies, waterfall percussions and spacious synths, "Deep River" offers pensive poetry, honest lyrics and authenticity with every line and the song truly showcases Daniel's growth as an artist. Produced by Mark Zubek, "Deep River" comes as a metaphoric description of vulnerability and being pulled into an unwanted situation or state of mind. Much like the songs on his first EP, titled "North," Daniel aims to use his voice to move listeners to an expansive place where they can evaluate life and come out with a new perspective.

Gradually becoming a star in his own right, Daniel has received plenty of praise from music journalists. He was named iHeart Radio's Artist to Watch, and Fizzy Pop is quoted saying "His voice is confident and assured, and there's a rawness and honesty within the song that is both refreshing and encompassing."

When he's not serenading crowds or busy in the recording studio, Daniel Robinson is lending a helping hand to charities that promote equality such as the Buffalo chapter of Lady GaGa's Born This Way Foundation and The Human Rights Campaign.
