Shaving Cream Background
Looking for a unique background for a stamped card? Try the fun and easy shaving cream technique!
Supplies Needed:
Shaving Cream (not the gel kind) - unscented
Stamp Pad Reinkers in various colors
Knife
Flat container (a pie plate or cookie sheet works well)
White Cardstock
Step 1:
Spray shaving cream into container in a zig-zag manner.
Step 2:
Squeeze a few drops of different reinker colors into the shaving cream in different areas.
Step 3:
Using a knife, lightly spread the shaving cream using a back and forth motion. Do not overly mix the shaving cream and reinkers.
Step 4:
Press the cardstock into the shaving cream, making sure you fully cover the front of the cardstock.
Step 5:
Scrape off shaving cream with the knife and wipe with a paper towel.
You can make additional background cardstock using the same shaving cream. The colors will become less intense and more muddied after about 3-4 applications.
