Carnival Offers New Late-Night Kids' Programs
Both kids and parents can enjoy late-night parties on their next cruise vacation. Carnival Cruise Lines is rolling out Camp Carnival Night Owls on all 23 Carnival Cruise Line ships. These evening children's programs, available for three different age groups, will be held at least once on each voyage and are fully supervised by specially trained Carnival's youth staff.
Carnival Cruise Line is a leader in the family cruising market, with approximately 670,000 children sailing with the line each year. These new late-night parties and events will augment Carnival's already existing and highly rated Camp Carnival program for kids and teens. The complimentary Camp Carnival program offers a full range of activities from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily. The new Camp Carnival Night Owls program will allow kids to extend their fun until a later hour - and parents to have some additional "me" time as well.
The Camp Carnival Night Owls events are held in the children's play rooms onboard the ship. Activities range from video game tournaments and arts and crafts activities to sporting events, late-night movies and pizza parties. Snacks and refreshments are also served. In addition, kids who attend will receive premium giveaways that might include such items as specially branded watches, flashlights, plush toys and other gifts.
The Night Owls parties are offered for three different age groups of children:
* Owl Jams - this program provides activities and fun 2- to 11-year-old children from 10 p.m. to midnight. The cost for this program is $13 per child plus tip.
* Fun 'Til One - this high-energy party is targeted to kids ages 6-8 years of age and lasts from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. the next morning. The cost is $20 per child plus tip.
* Fun at Sea ... 'Till 3:00 - for those 9- to 11-year-olds who just don't want to stop, this late-night event features activities throughout the ship and runs from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m. the next morning. After the party, children are taken to their staterooms by Carnival staff. The cost for this program is $33 per child plus tip.
The new Night Owls program also features nightly group babysitting services. Newly designed to be a fun-filled slumber party at sea complete with activities, Carnival's babysitting program is available from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. nightly during the cruise. Complimentary pillows and blankets are provided and light snacks and refreshments are served. The cost is $6.75 per child per hour plus tip.
In addition to the line's children's and teens' programs, Carnival's family-pleasing ships provide lots of fun and entertainment for kids of all ages. Kids love the line's Twister corkscrew waterslides and water parks, as well as the swimming pools, miniature golf courses, and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts. LED screens by the pool also entertain guests with movies, sporting events and other programs. SportSquare, an open-air recreation complex on the new Carnival Magic, offers the first shipboard ropes course as well as Power Drencher, a 300-gallon water bucket that's the largest at sea.
