BumGenius 3.0 cloth diapers are more convenient than ever. The new BumGenius 3.0 corrects many of the problems reported with the BumGenius 2.0. The bumGenius 3.0 tabs are easier to use and have stronger hook and loop closures.

The one size fit is outstanding, with the BumGenius 3.0 on the smallest setting the diaper will easily fit a 7 pound newborn. The new design of the tummy panel can be folded down on a newborn so you can adjust the rise and position the tummy panel below the umbilical cord. I tried the BumGenius 3.0 on a 32 pound 22 month old and it fits perfectly. The back is wide enough to provide great coverage even on this little chunky monkey, providing excellent leak protection.

One truly innovative feature of the Bum Genius 3.0 is that the tummy panel has been redesigned with a small piece of the waterproof outer fabric facing the baby's tummy. This helps keep the insert from sliding too far forward and causing wicking onto baby's clothes. Some parents did complain that the 2.0 BumGenius sometimes rolled out at the waist, causing the insert to wick onto clothing. The new "insert stopper" panel also allows the front of the diaper to fold down in front without causing wicking.

The Bum Genius 3.0 comes with two microfiber inserts. The smaller insert fits babies up to 10 pounds and can be used as extra protection for heavy wetters or for overnights for bigger babies. The larger insert has two snap settings so it can be adjusted to fit medium or large babies. The snaps do not need to be unsnapped for washing, so you don't have to worry about resnapping them after every use.

Bum Genius 3.0 comes in the same 5 colors that were available for the 2.0 Bum Genius. The five colors are white, grasshopper, butternut, blossom (pink), and twilight (blue).

The inside wicking lining is a super soft suedecloth. Suede cloth is a great diaper lining since it moves moisture into the diaper insert but still feels dry to the touch. This keeps baby's skin dry even after the diaper is wet. Suede cloth also tends to stay new looking longer than many other fabrics, so you can be sure your Bum Genius 3.0 diapers will look great even after many washes.
