2 Simple Tips for a Healthier You
What is the difference between success and failure? Doing nothing at all is the only way to fail at your weight loss program. Here are 2 very simple tips for a healthier you.
Does the idea of being able to wear sleeveless blouses that show off your toned arms appeal to you? Light weights and more repetitions will give you that sexy, toned look. Do you sit down to watch television? How about changing up your evening habit? Lay down on the floor and lift those legs, crunch that tummy or lift your butt. Doing something is better than doing nothing and will likely propel you toward the sweet land of success.
Recently, there's been a popular buzz phrase circulating the internet: cheat day. It denotes a day of the week in which you allow yourself to indulge in the types of enjoyable foods that you would not normally consume throughout the week. It's a day to relax the rules a bit because if you don't, you'll feel deprived, your brain will kick into overdrive and you'll likely end up binge eating. So choose a day and enjoy that slice of cheesecake without the guilt.
During the other six days, the rule is to keep it clean. Fill up on fruits, vegetables, and water. Add in a some protein in the form of meat or eggs to round out a perfect daily diet. If you have to eat fast food, opt for the smaller portions offered in the kid's meal. Food is the body's fuel. Fuel cannot be derived from chips, cakes, ice cream or soda. Those are unnecessary fillers - literally, just fillers - wasted calories. I believe that life is too short to waste on substandard food.
Your fitness journey is not something short-term. It's a lifelong journey that will reveal different levels of understanding of your inner being. Constancy is crucial. It seems like such an easy answer - a no-brainer of sorts. However, it is probably one of the most difficult habits to develop. Unflagging dedication to your goals and to your self will bring success.
