Dream Symbols - Music

Dream Symbols - Music
Where words fail, music speaks. ~ Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875)

Music creates rhythm and harmony out of chaos. Music energizes, heals and stimulates emotions and creativity. Research studies have been done that revealed that elderly people who listen to the music of their youth actually begin to feel, act and look younger. Those who have the ability to write music and lyrics are creative and unique, and those who sing with beautiful voices are gifted indeed.

What is the type of the music playing in your dream? Is it classical or rock, jazz or blues, upbeat or melancholy? Is it comforting or creepy? Who is singing or playing? What emotions and memories do you associate with the music? Is there a person or event that the music reminds you of? If you can hear words, try to remember what they are saying. Is the music chaotic or rhythmic? The tone of the music may symbolize the present tone of your life.

The music may be an expression of how you are feeling about yourself, a person or situation. It may also reflect the state of your creative self. If the music is distorted, your creativity may be blocked or you may be failing to nurture it. Many great composers claimed to have created masterpieces from their dreams. If you are a musician, perhaps you're on your way to the Grammy's!

May all your dreams come true!
