Special Person - Faithbook Challenge
Take some time to celebrate a special person in your life!
Is there a special person that guided you in your spiritual walk?
What stands out to you about their faith and the way they lived it?
Journal these thoughts and make a tribute page to that special person.
I am still working on the page but here is the journaling that is going on my page!
I am so blessed to have several people that guided my spiritual walk. My Grandma was probably one of my finest examples of a good Christian woman. Not only did she regularly attend church, but also she lived out a good Christian life day to day. She always had a smile on her face and joy in her voice. I remember her dragging me along to take food to the sick and visit the shut-ins. I remember spending the night with her and her teaching me at a very young age how to pray. She didn't just teach me how to pray though, she prayed with me every time I spent the night with her. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and hearing her pray, which showed me that she wasn't just telling me that I needed to pray.... She talked to God like he was her friend even when she didn't know I was listening. I am so blessed to have a wonderful grandmother that taught me to rely on my heavenly father. I pray that the Lord will let me be just as fine an example to all that are around me as my grandma was to me.
Give me, O lord, a heart of grace,
A voice of joy, a shining face,
That I may show where ever I turn
Thy love within my soul does burn
A tenderness for all that stray,
With strength to help them on the way.
A cheerfulness, a heavenly mirth,
brightening my steps along the earth.
