Holiday Gift Ideas for RVers
The holidays are just around the corner. If you’re still wondering what to get that special RVer in your life, consider one of the ideas below. Any of them would make great holiday gifts!
Fun and Games
What RVer doesn’t have a few games in their onboard stash? If you’re looking for a gift that is budget-friendly, yet unique and guaranteed to be a blast, look no further than some of the games that the company Gamewright has to offer. Learn more about two of their offerings, “Who Would Win: The Ultimate Celebrity Showdown” and “Joe Name It: Not Your Average Party Game”, in my recent article, RV-Friendly Games Review.
RV Club Membership
As the saying goes, membership does have its privileges. This is especially true in the RV community. You can brighten your special RVer’s holiday by offering them an annual membership to one of the most popular RV clubs. For the RVer that loves to shop, a President’s Club membership for discounts at Camping World would be a good match. The community builders will appreciate a Good Sam RV Club membership or an Escapees RV Club membership, to name just a few.
Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo
I’ve had a crush on my Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo for almost five months now and I don’t see it going away any time soon. Priced at under $40 dollars, you can’t go wrong with this sweeper that is ideal in an RV environment. For more details, check out my review of the Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo.
Nook e-Reader
Is your RVer the kind that loves to cozy into her campsite surrounded by a comforting pile of books? Has she pondered getting an e-Reader? If so, help her take the plunge. The Nook Simple Touch reader is a no-frills e-Reader that’s gotten many good reviews. It’s thin, lightweight and features a 6-inch E Ink touch screen (in other words, it’s easy to read). Priced at just $99, this is a gift that your book-lover will enjoy for years to come.
Kindle Fire
Does your special RVer like a little more pizzazz in their technology? Would an e-Reader that has Wi-Fi, can surf the web, let you check your emails, and allow you to listen to your favorite tunes be showy enough? Oh, did I mention it’s also got a color LCD screen? Yeah, that’s pretty cool. While the Kindle Fire is priced on the high end, at $199, this e-Reader/mini tablet packs a lot of bang for the buck.
Collection of Cookbooks
Does your favorite RVer like to hang out in the kitchen? If so, find out what foods she has an interest in experimenting more with. Perhaps she’s mentioned wanting to bake more desserts, but you know she doesn’t like using dairy products. You can then pick your theme—vegan dessert cookbooks—and purchase several of those. Stack them, and then wrap them up in colorful wrapping paper. Plop a dozen sparkly vegan cupcakes on top and voila! You have a perfect themed gift for your aspiring vegan RV baker.
Still Undecided?
None of those ideas seems to fit? No worries. While at the annual Good Sam RV Rally, I overheard another RVer say he hoped there was going to be a Camping World in heaven. That’s what I'd call a devoted consumer. And he’s not the only one. Camping World gift cards would be right up any RVer's alley. Plus, I don’t think any RVer in their right mind would frown upon a Walmart gift card either. Happy gift giving!
