Thomas Making Tracks Game is from Briarpatch and features Thomas the Train and his friends. Players must first lay tracks and then race to the finish to win this easy yet fun game.

Each player has three possible rows to lay tracks. They must lay tracks that go together. Then once they have built a rail line from their starting position to the track on the board, players spin the game piece to see which color of track they can advance to. Play continues until one player reaches the roundhouse in the middle of the playing board.

The spinner is used during both phases of the game. When laying tracks, it is used to show which shape of track needs to be placed by the player. In the second phase of the game it is used to show which color of track the player gets to to advance to.

The two stages of the game give it a little more complexity and make it more challenging as players must first build the track that they will later use to reach the finish line.

Thomas Making Tracks game comes with 72 track pieces, playing board, four engine tokens with stand, and one spinner. The four engine tokens include Thomas the Tank Engine and Emily. Kids who love Thomas or trains might find this a fun game. There is no reading required. It's good for preschoolers who want to play games with their older siblings or parents who want to play without much help.

This game is definitely geared toward younger children who are more than likely to be fans of Thomas and Friends. Older kids might enjoy it for a while but probably not as much as their younger siblings.
