Hello, and welcome back! Our Little League season has unofficially opened, which means a little less reading time for me since I can't read through the boys' games. I guess it's a good thing I've nearly finished my May stack then.
This time out, we have the paperback release of Susan Johnson's 
Hot Legs (Berkley), with Cassie Hill and Bobby Serre trying to track down a painting missing from the museum where Cassie works, and trying not to let their hormones get the best of them. This one wasn't a keeper for me when it originally came out in trade paperback last year, and I haven't changed my mind about it since then. It doesn't quite live up to the 'steam standards' of Ms. Johnson's old historical romances. It's earned only three arrows.
Then we also have the paperback release of Kay Hooper's 
Elusive (Berkley), which was also a trade paperback release last year, and includes three of her 1980s romances, 'Elusive Dawn', 'On Her Doorstep', and 'Return Engagement'. Since I reviewed this one last year here, I won't repeat myself.
Finally, we have the latest from Jill Shalvis, 
Seeing Red (Signet Eclipse), with Summer Abrams returning to her hometown and finding that her best friend Joe Walker has grown into a man. Summer's attitude toward Joe seems very selfish to me throughout much of the story, though she makes adjustments in other areas of her life, and Joe rightly wants to keep his distance. I couldn't like her much, which colored my perception of the story as a whole, so this one's getting only two and a half arrows, I'm sorry to say. Also not a keeper.
