The Hitman's Bodyguard
Triple A rated bodyguard, Michael Bryce, is at the top of his game. That is, until one of his clients is murdered while in his care. Fast forward a couple years later, and Michael finds himself at the bottom of the barrel, struggling to take odd bodyguard jobs. Things seem to go from bad to worse, when Michael’s former girlfriend, Amelia Roussel, calls him for a dangerous job. Amelia had been tagged as part of a team to deliver renowned international assassin, Darius Kincaid, to the Hague to testify against Vladislav Dukhovich, the notorious dictator from Belarus. When the mission is compromised, Michael is the only one she can depend on to get Darius to the destination. With Michael’s and Darius’ past history, the two will be lucky not to kill each other before Dukhovich’s hitmen do. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”.
· Michael and Darius are trying to escape the safe house. The pair end up on the roof of the building with few options. Darius has handcuffs on when he jumps from the rooftop, but as he’s falling and lands in the dumpster, the handcuffs are gone.
· Michael and Darius are in the car, in the middle of nowhere, still trying to outrun Dukhovich’s men. Darius gets out to relieve himself. When Michael steps out to check on him, he notices the open bottle that’s on the roof of the car. The bottle is still there a few moments later, but the roof is clear when Dukhovich’s men catch up with them and start to fire.
· Also during this scene, Darius has a noticeable bandage wrapped around his injured right hand. He’s wearing it throughout the scene, but as he and Michael are walking across the field with cows, the bandage is gone.
“The Hitman’s Bodyguard” (2017) stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson, Elodie Yung, Gary Oldman, Salma Hayek, Joaquim de Almeida and Tine Joustra. It runs 118 minutes and is rated R for strong violence and language throughout.
