Laundry Room Tips & Tricks
Laundry can be overwhelming to any of us. I have recently been conducting research to find ways to make doing and completing your laundry ever so much easier! There are a few things for you to consider when you are trying to tackle your laundry mountain.
First, you need to find the tools that work for YOU.
This includes laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, wool balls, stain remover, washer and dryer. No matter what everyone else chooses - you have to choose what works for you, for your family circumstances and your finances. Whether you enjoy strong, yummy smelling laundry or you are a complete DIY person. Do some research on your own and come up with products that you love. If it is in your budget to update your washer and/or dryer, then you do the research and find out what will make things easier for you. Then make sure you READ your manual so you can use the machines to the best of your abilities. There are some absolutely wonderful DIY detergents and fabric softners and even stain removers. If you are adventurous, try some - figure out if you like them. If you have a tried and true brand of detergent that you love - keep using it!! Laundry is about getting things done in the way that brings you the most freedom of time and energy!
Second, Keep your Laundry room clean and uncluttered.
This means only using 1 or 2 products to get the job done.
Third, Use the same color of sheets and towels.
This will save you time and money because you will be able to mix them easier - which makes getting the laundry done a great deal easier!
Fourth, Everyone should be a part of the laundry process.
Even the youngest children can learn how to fold and put away their own laundry. Perfection isn't the desired outcome - having help is. Pre-teens can be taught to do their own laundry. Do it in stages to avoid stressing everyone out. Teenagers can be responsible for completing their own laundry.
No matter you laundry needs - it can be done easily and simply!
Make it a great one!
