Grease
Sandy and Danny meet and fall in love over summer break. But, when the end of summer beckons, it also seems to be the end of their romance. That all changes when Sandy transfers to a Rydell High School, home of the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies. While sweet and innocent Sandy becomes friends with the girls from the Pink Ladies, she soon discovers that the tough talking leader of the T-Birds is none other than her beloved Danny. Will they be able to rekindle their summer romance? Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Grease”.
∙ During the “Summer Nights” number, a close-up of Rizzo shows her stretched out on the seat of the picnic table where she can be seen putting on her sunglasses. It cuts to a farther view when she shoves Patty out of the way and Rizzo’s sunglasses are off.
∙ The Rydell Rangers are having a pre-game pep rally. After the football team runs out, the farther view of the cheerleaders, including Sandy and Patty, shows them taking their seat in front of the podium where Principal McGee is standing. When Principal McGee says “quiet please”, the cheerleaders are shown taking their seats again.
∙ Vi is walking down the steps at the diner while talking to Frenchie. Vi stops at the bottom of the stairs and tries to use her right elbow to hit the light switch. The lights go off but her elbow never touches the switch. It actually hits the wall a few inches underneath.
∙ Rizzo goes to the dance with Leo, the leader of the Scorpions. In the close-up, as they walk in, Leo takes off his glasses. It cuts to a farther, left side view and Leo can be seen taking his glasses off again.
“Grease” (1978) stars John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, Jeff Conaway, Didi Conn, Joan Blondell, Sid Caesar, Alice Ghostley, Eve Arden, and Lorenzo Lamas. It runs 110 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sexual content including references, teen smoking and drinking, and language.
