Sweet and Sassy Perfume Blends for Warm Weather
The last thing you want is to be wearing a perfume that attracts all types of bugs, especially bees. Natural perfumes are a way to enjoy beautiful scent blends and smell wonderful at the same time. Most of you like putting your creative hands and minds into great smelling essential oils.
I'm going to share a recipe or two so that you can make your own essential oil perfumes. Here goes ...
If you're a lover of flowers, this perfume blend will be one of your favorite: Flower Power
8 drops Palmarosa essential oil
4 drops Lavender essential oil
4 drops Sweet Orange essential oil
4 drops Jasmine Absolute
Jojoba or Sunflower oil
Drip the essential oils into a container … roller bottle, atomizer or any other small glass container with a cap. I like to use contains that are dark in color - amber, blue or green. If you want your perfumes stored in a more feminine or luxurious container, try frosted bottles.
Add your jojoba or sunflower oils in small increments. This allows you to determine the intensity of the scent you’re striving for.
This makes about an eighth of a teaspoon of the blend, without the carrier oil. This means you can use at least a 1-1.5 ounce container for adding the carrier - jojoba or safflower - oil. Cap tightly and give it a turn upside down to marry the oils. Hold it in the palm of your hands to give it your energy. Depending on how much you use, it should give you 4-8 months of product for your use.
Here's another recipe for you. The Hippie In You
24 drops of Grapefruit essential oil
16 drops Vanilla absolute
8 drops Orange essential oil
8 drops Lemon essential oil
1 drop Patchouli essential oil
Jojoba or Sunflower oil
Same rules as above apply. Drip the essential oils into a container … roller bottle, atomizer or any other small glass container with a cap. I like to use contains that are dark in color - amber, blue or green. If you want your perfumes stored in a more feminine or luxurious container, try frosted bottles.
This is the perfect uplifting blend. This recipe yields a bit more than the one above, so it might be a good idea to start off with a 2 ounce container.
That's it for this week. As always ...
