Eucalytus essential oil

Eucalytus essential oil
Eucalyptus essential oil can provide all-natural relief from allergies and sinus congestion. I discovered the power of eucalyptus oil to open my airways while suffering from a sinus infection. Now, I continue to use the oil to ease my allergies during an allergy season that won’t quit due to prolonged warm temperatures extending into November.

Eucalyptus essential oil is made from the leaves of eucalyptus trees, grown worldwide for their medicinal properties. The leaves are dried, crushed and distilled to release the essential oils which must be diluted before being used as medicine.

I purchased eucalyptus essential oil from www.sinussurvival.com for about $12 per bottle. The eucalyptus oil is combined with peppermint and jojoba oil in the Sinus Essential Oil.

For congestion relief, I rub a few drops of the oil between my index finger and thumb. Then, I swab my index finger and thumb on the outside of my nostrils. Immediately, I notice an opening of my airways and breathe through my nose.

Another way to use eucalyptus essential oil is to add a few drops to your steam inhaler’s water chamber and inhale deeply for up to 20 minutes. This method provides warm mist relief to open dry, swollen sinuses.

Eucalyptus essential oil has been used for a long time as an ingredient in over-the-counter cough medicines and chest rubs for relief of congestion. You also may rub the essential oil on your chest to loosen mucus/congestion.

I’m glad I discovered how essential oils like eucalyptus can ease your sinus congestion and allergies without resorting to medications. The allergy season in my area has been long and severe with plants/weeds continuing to grow well past the normal hard frost date. I am unable to use antihistamines and other allergy medications because they shrink my nasal passages so much that nasal secretions can no longer flow. The result is a sinus infection.

On the other hand, the essential oil opened up my airways better than any antihistamine or other medication ever has. The essential can be dabbed on the outside of the nostrils as often as needed. The effect usually lasts for several hours.
