Batman And Robin
George Clooney and Chris O’Donnell teamed as the dynamic duo in 1997’s “Batman and Robin”. This time around, the pair became a trio with the help of Alfred’s niece, Barbara Wilson, a.k.a. Batgirl. It’s a race against time as the crime fighters try to defeat Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Bane while trying to save a dying Alfred. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Batman and Robin”.
· When Poison Ivy first arrives in Gotham City, Bane is driving her to the observatory. During the scene, Poison Ivy can be seen wearing a pair of brown gloves. However, during the view that shows Bane driving the car and she is in the background, Poison Ivy’s gloves are missing. Also during this scene, the wig Poison Ivy puts on in the car is short and dark brown. But, when she appears at the conservatory in the next scene, her hair is quite different. It looks the way it did when she first appeared in the movie.
· Poison Ivy and Bane are looking for a new lair and choose an old Turkish bathhouse currently occupied by a gang. Bane is wearing a hat and a trench coat when he starts breaking into the building. When he finally breaks through, the hat and coat are gone. Also keep an eye on Poison Ivy during this scene. She is originally wearing green hose/tights with her outfit. But, during the segment after they get rid of the building’s current occupants, when she says “I’ve always had a hankering for something on the water”, her hose/tights are now black.
· Robin visits Poison Ivy in her lair. During the scene, the cuffs of her sleeves have a leaf or ivy design. However, after he reveals the plastic coating on his lips, and during the following scenes with Batman and Batgirl, the leaf/ivy design is gone and she is wearing a thorn/spike design on her wrist.
· After the villains have been defeated, Batman, Batgirl and Robin are in the conservatory. The chest design on Robin’s outfit is black and silver. However, in the very next scene, when the trio is administering the cure to an ailing Alfred, Robin is wearing the outfit with the black and red design.
“Batman and Robin” (1997) stars George Clooney, Chris O’Donnell, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman, Alicia Silverstone, Michael Gough, Pat Hinkle, Vivica A. Fox, Elle Macpherson and Jeep Swenson. It runs 125 minutes and is rated PG-13 for strong stylized action and some innuendos.
