Need a festive dessert for Valentine’s Day, but don’t have much time? Quick Valentine Sundaes are perfect, since they can be made in about 10 minutes. This easy recipe uses devil’s food snack cakes, ice cream, and commercial sundae sauces. The snack cakes are cut so they form a heart, then the heart is topped with a scoop of ice cream. Toppings are drizzled over the ice cream. It can’t get any easier, so even kids can make these yummy sundaes. There is no cooking involved, and step-by-step instructions are pictured below.

Although these sundaes may not be “gourmet,” they look pretty fancy, and actually taste good. You can make them even fancier by adding some sweetened whipped cream and even a few Valentine sprinkles. Another time, add red berries.

2 Cream Filled Devil's Food Snack Cakes, such as Zingers
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
2 tablespoons strawberry ice cream syrup
2 tablespoons chocolate ice cream syrup



  1. Cut each of the snack cakes on the diagonal starting about 1" down from the tops on the inside edges.
