Ms. Marple - May 05 Schedule
In May month we get double helping of murder from Agatha Christie. Geraldine McEwan stars as Miss Marple in A Murder is Announced and What Mrs McGillicuddy Saw. See Mystery Movie's first Announcement of this series for information concerning Ms. McEwan.

A Murder Is Announced (May 1 and 8)

The ad in the paper appeared to be an invitation to a clever parlor game, "A murder is announced and will take place...." Curious townspeople arrive at Letitia Blacklock's home at the designated time. Everyone is curious but not afraid--until the room goes black and shots ring out. When the lights are turned on again, they find a dead body on the floor. What game is this? It's up to Miss Marple to find out what's going on.

What Mrs. McGillicuddy Saw (May 15 and 22)

This novel was first written as 4:50 From Paddington. The 4:50 title makes more sense considering Mrs. McGillicuddy's predicament. When Mrs. McG sees a murder committed on the train speeding by, she feels duty bound to report it. The problem is no one believes her except her good friend, Miss Marple. Miss Marple and her friend (and her willing assistant) Lucy Eyelesbarro decide to help prove what Mrs. McGillicuddy saw was no figment of her imagination, nor was it a dream. It was murder!

Be sure to check your local area PBS channel for exact times for all airings in your local area. Unlike most Marple showings, this whole series has received a TV PG rating: Parental Guidance Suggested.
