European Style Apple Pie Recipe
One of the best ways to eat those crisp, juicy fall apples is to bake them into luscious desserts. And even though Apple Pie is considered the quintessential American dessert, they serve a luscious version of Apple Pie in Europe that is very different and more of a cake than a pie. The following European Style Apple Pie doesn’t have a flaky crust, and is made in layers in a springform pan. It’s quicker to put together than a traditional pie, and is every bit as good.
Although best served warm, this European Style Apple Pie is almost as good at room temperature. It can be served plain, with whipped cream, or ideally with homemade or gourmet ice cream. If you happen to travel to Europe, and order Apple Pie in a restaurant, this is the dessert that you will be served. It’s a given that there will be no complaints.
