Transformers - Age Of Extinction
Gone are the days where the Autobots were considered heroes and allies of humans. Now being hunted, most have gone into hiding. But when Cade Yeager buys an old truck in the hopes of fixing it up, he and his family unwittingly become embroiled in a secret cover-up involving the government and its intent to annihilate all Transformers. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Transformers – Age Of Extinction”.
∙ Lockdown is walking toward a wounded Optimus Prime who’s on the ground. Tessa jumps into the white car that Optimus is laying on and closes the door. It’s still shut in the close-up of Tessa when she asks Optimus to get up. It cuts to an overhead view when Optimus says “I can’t. Get out of here.” And the driver’s side door is open. It’s closed again when Tessa crawls into the back and is still shut when Lockdown walks up to Optimus. The door is open in the close-up of Optimus when he asks “Who sent you here?” and closed when the net covers the car.
∙ Cade, Tessa and Shane are trying to escape the spaceship by walking the cables to the skyscrapers. On their way across, robotic dogs are in pursuit. When Cade yells “Don’t look back”, the close-up of Tessa shows the dogs behind her. It cuts to an overhead view of the dogs edging closer and then back to the close-up. When Tessa yells “Well, that means it’s totally major,” the background shows no dogs. But Cade shoots the dogs a few moments later on the cables.
∙ When Lockdown tells Optimus Prime, “You bring shame upon us all,” the scene cuts to Cade firing on him. Cade runs to a broken, white stone wall. In the overhead view, no one is there when he runs up to it. But in the closer view as the wall explodes, a person can be seen standing behind him. The wall is also made of red brick now.
“Transformers – Age Of Extinction” (2014) stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor. It runs 165 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, language and brief innuendo.
