Da Lat, Vietnam is in the west-central highlands. This old French city has towering pine trees, lots of bright flowers and nearby waterfalls. There are many places to sightsee in the city. One of them is the Da Lat Central Market.

The Da Lat Central Market location is downtown. The large white stone market bustles with vendors and buyers. The floor of the indoor market contains mini stalls everywhere. There are tables piled high with fresh fruit and vegetables. There are papayas, mangoes, strawberries, and mulberries. Cabbage and greens cover tables. Most of the produce is unknown by the western traveler, but they are delicious.

Walk the length of the market. Buy some fruit for lunch. Remember, the vendors love to bargain so if the process is not your cup of tea forgo buying anything.

Items for sale which many travelers enjoy are the clothes and the handcrafts. There are hats, shoes and hand bags for sale. Art objects are available for gifts. Da Lat, Vietnam is known for its lacquerware. Pick up a piece or two.

The bustling Da Lat Central Market is interesting. Be sure to place it on your sightseeing list.
