Shortcut Chocolate Drops Recipe
Got 30 minutes? You can make these yummy Shortcut Chocolate Drops in 30 minutes or less thanks to a cake mix and canned frosting. The finished cookies have a nice soft texture, reminiscent of those popular big soft sugar cookies, but these are chocolate through and through. Although they aren't fancy, they will disappear quickly, and are great paired with pudding or ice cream for a simple dessert.
Convenience foods are great timesavers; even though they often contain preservatives and other unwanted additives, they help busy cooks save time. It's important, of course, to pick and choose when deciding which convenience foods to use, since some are absolutely disgusting and the time saved isn't worth it. Cake mixes were one of the first real convenience foods and are now used to make dozens of types of desserts. Canned frosting is another convenience product that is fairly decent, and although not particularly healthy, tastes pretty good. As long as you keep these on hand, you can make these cookies whenever you're craving a good chocolate cookie.
