Pitch Perfect
It’s Beca’s first year at Barden University. With music as her first love, the loner finds herself drawn to the campus radio station and to fellow student Jesse. Beca also finds herself in the unlikely and awkward situation of auditioning for the notorious female a cappella group, the Bellas. Having had a disastrous showing in the previous year’s national competition, the Bellas’ leader, Aubrey, is determined to win this year at all cost. But Aubrey's unwillingness to change the Bella's stale music performance with Beca's suggested updated feel, may be the group's downfall. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Pitch Perfect”.
∙ The close-up of Benji telling Jesse that he’s going to go and introduce himself shows a dark haired guy with a greenish shirt with his hands holding his backpack straps crosses behind him and is shown walking up the steps past the Treblemakers. It cuts to a close-up of Benji and Jesse when Benji says “I saw you guys perform at a Mall of America like three years ago” and the same guy walks behind him again.
∙ When Beca is shown walking to the radio station, the view through the window shows the radio station as 85.7. It's also shown on the door when she opens it a few moments later. But when the DJ introduces the station, he says 95.7.
∙ During the a cappella tryout, the close-up of Aubrey and Chloe shows there are at least two people sitting in the seats two rows behind them. One person is holding fruit and a cup of coffee and the other has a bag of chips. The scene cuts to a far view when Tommy claps and starts to say “that’s everybody” and the seats behind Aubrey and Chloe are empty. It cuts back to the close-up of the girls and the two people are back again.
“Pitch Perfect” (2012) stars Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Ben Platt, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, and Rebel Wilson. It runs 112 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sexual material, language and drug references.
