Scrapbook Supply Organization - Pizza Boxes
Scrapbookers admit to being collectors of supplies. We collect paper, stickers, buttons, ribbon, washi tape, scrap paper, embellishments and so much more. Here are a few tips to help you get those supplies organized so you can spend more time preserving your memories instead of looking for that perfect sticker you bought to go with that page!
Pizza boxes are a great organizational tool because they are the perfect size to house all of your 12x12 supplies. Many scrapbookers get donations from their local pizza shops, but you can also purchase 12x12 pizza boxes online for less than a dollar a box. If you choose to decorate the box consider decoupage for durability.
Before sorting your supplies, consider the way you want to organize. You can sort by theme, month, style, etc. Consider a box for each holiday such as Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving. It is a good idea to have a box for each member of your family so that as you buy supplies for their pages they can be in one place.
Once you have decided how you are going to organize, choose a uniform way to label each box. You can write directly on the box, or write on a label and attach to the box. A popular trend is printing labels from the computer in a fun font.
The next step is where the fun begins! Start sorting through your supplies and putting all of the Christmas paper, embellishments, stickers, ribbons, etc. in the Christmas box. Add all of the dance recital paper and embellishments in your daughter’s box. A summer box is a great place to add all the picnic and pool supplies.
