Taken 2
Things are back to normal for former government operative, Bryan Mills. But when the father of his daughter’s kidnapper comes looking for revenge for his son’s death, Bryan finds himself “taken” along with his ex-wife, Lenore, while on a family trip in Istanbul. This time, it’ll be up to Bryan, with the help of Kim, to help save the day. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Taken 2”.
∙ When Bryan first visits Lenore at her home, she sets two empty wine glasses and a bottle on the table. After she says “she’s okay”, the view shows the two of them clinking glasses and then drinking wine. But Bryan or Lenore were never shown pouring the wine.
∙ Bryan and Kim are sitting together on the ferry. His arms and hands are down by his sides. When he gets the tea for her and is talking about the “flight over”, he’s seen putting his left arm around her with his hand on her shoulder. It cuts to a different view when he asks about her boyfriend, Jamie, and his arm is back down. It’s around her again in the front view of them when Kim comments “not the way mom talks about it”.
∙ When Bryan is being chased and yells to Kim to “answer the phone”, he makes a right turn down an alley in the car. The rear view of the car as he’s making the turn shows there are three circular rings/pretzels/bagels on the back window, all toward the left. The overhead view of the car when it stops shows the three rings are still there but there is now a fourth one on the right side too. It’s still there when he starts backing up.
∙ Bryan and Kim are in the yellow taxi, trying to get to the U.S. Embassy. They’re being chased by a black Mercedes. As they go through the intersection, Bryan fires at the other car and at least one bullet is seen going through the windshield. But when the car flips a few seconds later, the windshield is intact, with no mark. Also during this scene, the taxi’s rear windshield is shot out a few moments after the Mercedes flips. But in the close-ups of Bryan and Kim inside the car, the windshield is still there.
“Taken 2” (2012) stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen and Luke Grimes. It runs 92 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, and some sensuality.
