Night At The Museum
Larry Daley desperately needs a job. While he's not exactly eager to be the new night watchman at New York's Museum of Natural History, it's the only chance he has to keep from being evicted and also to keep his son happy. But he soon learns that being the night watchman is anything but mundane when the exhibits come to life at night. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching "Night at the Museum".
∙ At the very beginning of the movie, Larry walks up to the parking meter that's near the right, front end of his car. The meter has a brown paper bag over it. He picks up the ticket from his windshield and walks around the front of the car. It cuts to a wider view of him walking to the driver's side and the parking meter that's next to the car no longer has the brown bag over it.
∙ When Larry first shows up at the Security office at the museum, Cecil opens the top section of the door. When Cecil tells him to "come on in", he opens the bottom section with the bell on it and then closes it behind him, leaving the top open. But when Larry leaves a few moments later, the top and bottom are open.
∙ On his second night at work, the close-up of Larry shows him picking up his flashlight. He has his jacket open and it's just his gray shirt underneath with no necktie. He turns around when Cecil, Gus and Reginald come in and the front view of him when he walks over to the locker shows he's now wearing a necktie.
∙ Larry is getting ready to leave after the second night when Columbus points toward the open window. When they look back, the Neanderthal's foamy footprints can be seen on the floor leading up to the door and then over to the window. But when Larry walks through the door and up to the window, there are no footprints to be seen.
∙ When Larry stops Rebecca and tells her that everything in the museum comes to life at night, they stop in front of the Neanderthal exhibit which is on her right. They're still in front of the exhibit when he mentions Sacagawea. It cuts to a far, overhead view when Rebecca starts to walk away and they're in front of Teddy Roosevelt.
"Night at the Museum" (2006) stars Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Bill Cobs, Ricky Gervais, Robin Williams, Steve Coogan, Owe Wilson and Jake Cherry. It runs 108 minutes and is rated PG for mild action, language and brief rude humor.
