Math Newsletter - Math Matters
Thank you for considering the BellaOnline.com Math Newsletter, Math Matters. I believe in establishing a solid understanding of the basic math skills. I have found in my experience that students with a problem of grasping higher level math, such as Algebra, usually have gaps in their basic math skills. For example, “Johnny” figures out he should multiply, but he gets the problem wrong due to a poor knowledge of the multiplication facts and/or algorithm. Therefore, I plan to share articles to address some common skills that challenge students. Some of those skills are subtraction with regrouping, multiplication, long division, decimals, fractions, integers, and percents. Then, we can apply those skills to word problems, and take a look at Geometry, Algebra, and Algebra II.
Do you want to become a tutor? Do you need creative ideas to approach a topic or to help your student or child? Then, anticipate weekly articles to help you become a more effective math tutor, teacher, home school parent, or a parent helping with homework. In addition, I’ll share articles concerning the math within entrance exams and standardized tests and noteworthy websites with interactive practice and great resources. Also, you can learn and share tutoring and teaching ideas or make suggestions in the Math forum or use the contact box to reach me. Both the Math Forum and the Contact Box are located to the right of the page. However, all work and no play translate to tired brains. So, expect some fun with learning games, puzzles, and maybe a few math jokes.
If you want to stay informed and know when the math site is updated, sign up for the newsletter. It’s simple; just look for the “free email update” box at the bottom of the page or the “free newsletter” box to the right of any article like the one you’re reading now. Enter your email address. That’s it. We don’t need your life history. In fact, BellaOnline keeps your email address private and promises not to sell or share your email address with anyone – that includes me. Plus you can unsubscribe as easily as you subscribed.
Math really does matter! So, if you want to be one of first to receive notification when the math site is updated with practical, creative, and useful articles, sign up. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Warmly,
