It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
It’s Halloween and while Charlie Brown and the gang decide to “tricks or treats”, Linus opts to stay in the pumpkin patch in anticipation for the arrival of the Great Pumpkin. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching the animated classic “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”.

∙ Linus and Lucy walk out to the mailbox so Linus can mail his letter to the Great Pumpkin. In the farther views of the two of them, there is no writing on the side of the mailbox. But in the close-up views, “U.S. Mail” is on the lower blue section of the mail box.

∙ The group of kids come across Linus in the pumpkin patch and start to leave. Sally is carrying the sheet that she was using for her costume. It cuts to Linus and then back to Sally. Her hands are now empty as she run back toward him.

∙ When Snoopy is flying as the World War I flying ace, “bullet holes” appear on the roof of his house/aircraft. Snoopy and the aircraft turn a bluish color and the holes are gone. A fresh set of holes appear when he’s being fired on a few moments later.

∙ Also during this scene, when the “engine” blows out of the World War I flying ace’s “aircraft”, Snoopy is seen standing up, saluting, with his goggles on the top of his head. A moment later he’s sitting in the opposite direction with his goggles on his face.

∙ At the Halloween party, Lucy is first shown with her read “wizard’s” hat. There is a crescent moon at the top and two stars at the bottom of the front of the hat. When she’s shown drawing on the pumpkin, there are now three stars that are in different position than the original two. The original version of the hat is back when they start to bob for apples.

∙ In the view of the kids at the party, the tub for bobbing for apples has five apples floating in it. The apples are in two rows: one with three and the other with two. When Lucy walks over, there are now four applies and they’re scattered around the tub.

∙ When Linus is telling Charlie Brown about the “fury of a woman”, Charlie Brown is standing next to Linus and Lucy is a few feet in front of them. It cuts to a view of the gang leaving and Sally is the one standing closest to Linus with a little girl in a purple dress between her and Charlie Brown.

“It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” (1966) was created by Charles Schulz and features the voices of Peter Robbins, Christopher Shea, Sally Dryer and Kathy Steinberg. It runs 25 minutes and is Unrated.
