I recently had a chance to interview Author Linda Dominique Grosvenor. With her flair for writing best selling novels, it's a wonder Ms. Grosvenor has time for some of the projects she's working on. Keep reading to learn more about this dynamic writer.

What role has music played in your life?
Music thoroughly evokes a mood for me when I'm writing or doing anything creative. While I love the classics like Marvin Gaye and other artists of his caliber, I also appreciate talented women like Alicia Keys and Norah Jones. As women, they truly inspire me with their simplicity. You truly "feel" their music and appreciate the fact that they aren't just a show piece or parade around scantily clad to draw attention to their "goods" but are a true gift to their particular genre, women everywhere and listeners as a whole.

Please tell us a little about yourself.
I'm the author of the summer sizzler The Hamptons, an advice columnist for the site
AskPrincessDominique.com and in addition I host of my own television show that airs in North Carolina reaching approximately 1 million viewers. I hope to one day be thought of as an inspiration to young girls who'd like to follow in my footsteps and I think that being an artist who refuses to conform to what soceity says is the norm is something to be pretty proud of.

You have a new show that will air soon. Can you tell the readers more about it? Can aspiring singers contact you to be on the show?
I'm the host of The Princess Dominique Show and it airs in the North Carolina region on WB22. On the show I deal with a variety of interesting topics including music, books, relationship, fashion, makeovers and home improvement. We are currently RSVPing viewers for our first ever "on air" pajama party as well as our first ever on air "book party" for my novel The Hamptons, and are seeking sponsors as well for both events. Any one who has a talent, from singing, playing an instrument to knowing how to juggle or cook a truly unique dish can send their information to the producers via our website. What type of books do you write?
I write pretty contemporary type fiction novels. Some have a mystery twist but for the most part I mix the glamour with edgy information to give readers a general understanding of the topic covered in my books.

The Hamptons is about a divorced woman who desires to start her life over after losing her husband that she refers to as her ball and chain. In the midst of getting over him, she's drawn into a summer fling that catches her totally by surprise and literally changes her life.

Pretty Boys is a collection of 3 novellas that tap into the lives of three different classes of women who all have the same dilemma; good looking men. How they deal with them, get over them and give into them make for great reading.

Bloom is a stand alone novella from the older woman younger man series titled The Cradle Robbers. It's in the process of being added to an anthology with four other "cradle robber" novellas and will be offered in hardcover by the end of 2005. I think with the growing older woman younger woman craze these books are right on time and perfect for every avid reader.

If your life was a reality show, what would be the title and why?
I think it would be called The Adventures of Princess Dominique. I think if they followed me around they'd see what it takes on a daily basis to be me they'd be amazed.
