The Orange Peel Remedy

Feng Shui remedies are used to correct negative chi and bring harmony and balance in a room or your entire home. There are lots of remedies used in Feng Shui to cure or remedy a negative energy flow. These remedies can be Chinese symbols, items found around the home, a rearrangement of furniture or a combination of all three. Some remedies are used as needed while others are a more permanent part of your décor. The Orange Peel Remedy is inexpensive and quite easy to prepare and use and is used as needed. It can be used in your home, office or while traveling to get rid of negative chi.

This remedy is easy to prepare and use and is very inexpensive. For this remedy, you will need an orange, a glass bowl, water, and an optional spray bottle. Before using this or any other remedy, I like to speak an intention. You can make up your own intention or use this one. “With this remedy, I intend to remove all negativity and replace it with positive chi.”

To prepare this remedy, first remove the peel. You can either eat the orange or set it aside. Break the peel into 9, 18 or 27 pieces, place these in the bowl and cover with hot water. Hot tap water will work just fine. Set this aside until it reaches room temperature. Once the water reaches room temperature, take the bowl of peel and water to the room that needs remedied of negative chi. Repeat your intention. Dip your 2 middle fingers into the water and flick the water as you walk around the room. I have hardwood floors so I use a spray bottle rather than flicking the water. To do this, simply pour the water and orange peel into a spray bottle, repeat your intention, and walk around the room while spraying the water. There is no need to drench the room with water, just a small amount will work fine. Once you have remedied this room, you can move to other rooms, if necessary, and repeat. Be sure to repeat your intention in each room before applying the remedy.

Once you have remedied all the rooms, you can simply throw the orange peels in the trash and empty the water in the sink. I like to recycle so I run the orange peels through the food processor and mix back into the water and sprinkle over my garden.

I don’t use this remedy often at home but anytime there is an argument, bad news, or any other negative situation it has proven quite helpful. I do use this remedy when on vacation or traveling. When on vacation or traveling, use a spray bottle filled with the orange peel mixture to rid hotel rooms, guest houses, and so on of any residual negative energy from previous guests or the housekeeping staff.
