A Time of Personal Renewal Personal Renewal is a concept that is important to all people and other living creatures. We live in such fast paced times - that life can just whiz by us without a moment of appreciation or reflection. It is important for your peace of mind; physical and emotional health; as well as your spiritual attunement to make renewal a daily practice in your life. One way to practice personal renewal on a regular basis is to look at the world through innocent and open eyes. If we regard all that is around us with the eyes of a child, we cease to label and categorize things to the point of making them humdrum and boring. We experience the subtle nuances that characterize each experience we have, even if we've done the same thing a million times before.
This practice makes other people, situations, our home town, our jobs, our hobbies all seem enriched and more fulfilling. When we fail to experience things for their own intrinsic worth and interest, we view them with jaded and contemptious regard. For instance, how often do you look at yourself in the mirror and regard yourself with amazed wonder? All the time? Never? Only when you're made up for a night on the town? Your answer reveals alot about your sense of self regard and ability to renew yourself. Personal renewal includes a renewal in your body and self images as well. If you truly saw yourself as the incredible being that you are, each gaze would fill your heart with gratitude and humility simply because of the magnificence that is you!
This month I challenge you to discover your best practices for renewal. What makes you feel on top of the world? What sparks your enthusiasm, your energy and your ability to laugh, sing, skip, jump and frolic like you did in childhood? These are the things you need to do to truly be you, in all your glory! What thoughts make your mind feel alert, interested and thirsty to know more? What feelings fill you with warmth, belongingness and love? What values make you feel like a wonderful human being? And what spiritual insights make your soul sing, feeling totally connected to the Source? Identifying these practices, thoughts, feelings, values and insights is the first giant step forward to personal renewal. Adopting these identified tools are the next step,...one well worth taking!

It is an Air elemental card, indicating intelligence, freshness and vigor. The Fool is a very powerful card to focus on. He represents a new beginning, a fresh start in any aspect of our lives. This card means we will be faced with important choices and decisions as we begin this new, often unplanned life-cycle. These changes bring difficult challenges which involve a degree of risk. However, if we approach these changes with energy and optimism, a positive outcome is indicated. This is because the Fool represents complete freedom and trust, filled with perfect love which releases the confining energy of fear. We embark on our new journey with a sense of wonder and adventure.
