Rush Hour 2 has so much in it. There is plenty of action. Of course, there are Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. There are the mile-a-minute jokes. Most important of all to the Southeast Asia enthusiastic is the beautiful city of Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is the star of the first half of the film. Never been to Hong Kong, this is a great film to view modern Hong Kong. There are views of the spectacular Victoria harbor at night. Night views of the harbor are the most awesome sights, especially the views from Victoria Peak on Hong Kong Island.

Many visitors to Hong Kong unfortunately do not travel to the outlying islands. This film includes Lantau Island with its famous landmark, Big Buddha, a statue on the hilltop. Watch for it when viewing the movie next time.

The Nathan Road scenes with shots of the shop signs and double decker buses capture Kowloon city life. People bustle around the city, carrying on with their daily life. They shop in the local markets. We shop with comical Chris Tucker seeing the shops through the eye of a foreigner.

The sequence of most interest contained the bamboo scaffolding. It reminds me of my first trip to Hong Kong and sighting bamboo scaffolding. It amazes me that the bamboo is strong enough for construction work.

Rush Hour 2 offers views of the beautiful city, Hong Kong. If you have never been to Hong Kong, give the film a second look. Those who have traveled to this glorious city sit back and reminisce of your visit. Lucky you can include the background smells and sounds while viewing Rush Hour 2.
