2004 - da Vinci on National Geographic Channel

National Geographic Channel brings us a night of da Vinci on December 19, with a repeat airing of ‘Da Vinci and the Mysteries of the Shroud’ and the premiere of ‘Unlocking da Vinci’s Code: The Full Story’.
‘Da Vinci and the Mysteries of the Shroud’
Some believe that when Jesus Christ was resurrected there was an intense heat that burned Jesus’s image into the Shroud of Turin and that is the subject of the first show: ‘Da Vinci and the Mysteries of the Shroud’ . There has been great debate over the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin. Some believe that the Shroud of Turin is genuine, others believe that someone very talented created it, possibly Leonardo da Vinci. Whether or not you believe it might be a show worth watching, we all may learn something we didn’t know.
‘Unlocking da Vinci’s Code: The Full Story’
The next show in the da Vinci show is: ‘Unlocking da Vinci’s Code: The Full Story’, which discusses the theory that Mary Magdalene was married to Jesus Christ and escaped pregnant some time after his death and ended up in the South of France. There is also a belief, that the Knights of Templar, a secret organization which da Vinci was found to be a member of protected the family, decendents and their secret for years. Author Dan Brown of the book “The da Vinci Code” will be exclusively interviewed and an in-depth examination of the theory. Join Elizabeth Vargas as she investigates and tries to separate fact and from fiction in ‘Unlocking da Vinci’s Code: The Full Story’.
