Today's Featured Recipe - Cheese Straws

Guest Author - Deborah Adams

I have always loved Cheese straws with salads and other fare. During holidays and at parties these are always a hit in my home. The red pepper just gives it that little extra bite. Your guests will love them if you serve them at holidays.

Cheese Straws

3/4 c Butter; softened
1 lb Sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
2 c Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 scant tsp Red pepper

Combine butter and cheese. Mix in flour, salt and pepper well. Place mixture into cookie press and press out onto baking sheets in straws or into shapes. Bake at 350°. 10-12 minutes. Makes 25 to 30 servings.
