Extreme Mother & Daughter Makeover

Guest Author - Sandy Lovern

This contest has a lot of pluses to it such as; it is short running, so hurry if you are going to enter, it is a skill contest which requires a photo and a 400 or less word essay, so there will be less entries. Anytime there is are items required for a contest, the odds increase because many people are not willing to go that extra mile to win. Give it a try!

To enter go to The Extreme Mother & Daughter Makeover Contest
Below are partial rules for the Extreme Mother & Daughter Makeover Contest. As always, read all of the rules before you enter anything so you don't disqualify yourself. This is called a contest because it requires some skill, versus just a random entry.

The contest begins at 12:00:00 AM ET, February 22nd, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 PM ET, March 12th, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY: The Balancing Act’s Extreme Mother & Daughter Makeover Contest is open only to female legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia, who have a daughter 18 years of age or older as of the time of entry.

To enter, follow the onscreen instructions to complete and submit the official entry form, including: all required entry information, a photograph of you and your daughter and an essay of no more than 400 words describing why you and your daughter have a special bond, Entries must be received by or before 11:59 PM ET on March 12, 2010. This is limited to one entry only.

Be very careful when you enter contests and adhere to all of the rules. As this contest states, entries in excess of the stated limits will be disqualified. Be sure if you use a contraction, to count it as two words. Example: the word "can't" is technically "can not" and so it would be counted as two words. Be creative with your picture. Find a great setting or an unusual pose for the both of you, one that will catch the judge's eyes. You don't want your photo to look like everyone else's, so think outside the box.

If the photo was created for the entrant by a professional photographer or other third party, entrant must obtain all necessary rights to the photo prior to entry. The Entry cannot contain any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties. No person other than the entrant and her daughter may appear or be featured in the Entry.

Remember what I said about following the rules, so here is not the time to stick that cute grandbaby into the photo, it will disqualify you.

One Grand Prize Winner will be selected on or about March 12th, 2010. The Grand Prize includes an appearance on the Balancing Act television show for Grand Prize Winner and her daughter.

The Grand Prize winner will be posted http://www.thebalancingact.com and will also be notified by email using the contact information provided at Entry, so make sure your information is accurate.
