North American pop music fans, rejoice! Kylie Minogue, one of pop music’s most beloved icons, has announced her plans to get North America dancing later this year with a six city tour that kicks off in September 2009. The highly anticipated tour will be her first North American tour with stops in Oakland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York City.

Over the course of 20 years Kylie Minogue’s music has captured the hearts of pop music fans, and has earned her 50 hit singles along with over 40 million albums sold across the globe. Most recently Kylie has been busy with the release of Boombox: The Remix Album 2000-2008 which hit stores in January 2009. Boombox: The Remix Album 2000-2008 is a collection of some of Kylie’s most popular hits that have been remixed by some of the top producers in the industry. In addition to her remix album stylish Kylie has had her hands full with a cameo appearance and musical performance for the uber expensive Bollywood film Blue, as well as with the launch of her latest perfume—an enchantingly feminine fragrance which she named ‘Couture’.

Tickets for Kylie’s North American tour are scheduled to go on sale the weekend of May 15th, 2009. Special Ticketmaster pre-sale offers available to American Express cardholders and Kylie.com mailing list members began May 7th in select cities with the New York City show selling out in the first hour of pre-sale. As a result of the quick sell-out and popular demand for the New York City show a second New York date has been added. The tour, which is produced by Bill Silva Presents, is sure to be a memorable experience for pop music fans in North America.
