Carb Options Chicken Noodle Instant Soup
There are many times that you're at the office or school and need a quick meal. Soup is good food! This noodle soup is healthy but avoids the fattening noodles.
First, you get 4 envelopes per box so it's easy to keep this in a drawer or bag as an emergency fix. Remember, you're supposed to eat small, regular meals throughout the day to keep your energy and sugar levels even. You simply add boiling water, let sit, and enjoy. There are only 4g carbs per serving, so there is minimal impact on your sugars. There is no fat nor trans fats either. In fact there are only 25 calories per bowl.
How does it taste? For me it's a bit salty - a bowl gives 30% of your daily sodium requirements. But that's true for all instant food. The broth has a nice flavor, and the noodles taste as good as any noodles that I've had in instant soups. That is - they're not as good as fresh noodles you buy in the refrigerated part of your grocery aisle, but they're about as good as the dried boxed stuff on the shelves. There's a nice gentle spice flavor and the broth is rich and warm.
I find these perfect as a quick snack that's good for you and as an added bonus gets a serving or two of water into you, while it warms you up. Recent studies show that people who have 2 bowls of soup or broth a day lose weight faster than those who don't - probably because the water fills them up and the water is critical to weight loss in general. If you currently don't have soup as a typical meal in your life, it might be time to start!
