NASCAR Gift Giving
It’s that time of year again. Santa’s elves are working overtime trying to get ready for the big day. While we are frantically searching stores and NASCAR shops for just the right gift for our favorite NASCAR fans. We want something we know they will enjoy, but what kind of options to we have? What types of gifts would every NASCAR fan love? I’ve compiled a list of my top five NASCAR gifts for 2008 and hopefully this will give you some idea’s on what to buy for your NASCAR junkies.
1. NASCAR magazines
There are many racing magazines out there to choose from. One of my favorites is NASCAR Scene. It is filled from cover to cover with in depth information that every hard core fan would love to have. Driver profiles and interviews, week to week coverage of all three NASCAR series’, all the information a fan needs to enjoy every aspect of the NASCAR experience. It’s a weekly magazine (50 issues a year) and can be purchased online for around $60.00. There are also other magazines to choose from like, NASCAR Illustrated, Die Cast Digest, Circle Track and Stock Car Racing.
2. NASCAR.com Trackpass
Most people could not afford to go to every single race of the year, but NASCAR.com Trackpass can go a long way to making it seem like you are there. You get access to live online timing and scoring for practice, qualifying, and the race. You also get access to live streaming scanner feeds during the race so you know what’s going on, even before the announcer of TV does. You can purchase this online directly from NASCAR.com.
3. NASCAR Racing Schools
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive around that track at speeds close to 200 mph? Well there is one way to make yourself number one on your NASCAR fan’s list and that’s with a racing school experience. Prices can range from $100 to ride with a professional driver on a real track to $2500 for a three day racing experience that your NASCAR fan will never forget. There are several different racing schools, here a few: Richard Petty Driving Experience, The Dale Jarrett Racing School, Monster Mile Racing and StockCar Racing Experience.
4. NASCAR tickets
Every fan loves to be at the track. There is no greater NASCAR experience than being right in the middle of the action. Most people wouldn’t care what track it was that you got tickets for. Some would prefer it be the track closest to them, so they wouldn’t have to travel as far to get to, while others would love to see one of the big races like the Daytona 500 or Talladega. Whatever tickets you get, your NASCAR fan is sure to love them.
5. NASCAR collectibles
Collectibles is always a good gift. Most fans have a particular driver or team that they root for every Sunday and they love to be able to show their NASCAR spirit with apparel and other kinds of collectibles. Hendrick RaceShop has some super gifts this year from Jimmie Johnson fans. There is also the NASCAR.com Superstore, which has collectibles for several NASCAR drivers. I’ve always like the NASCAR art of Sam Bass, highly detailed works based on several fan favorites. They are one of kind gifts for your NASCAR junkie. For your female NASCAR fans you can choose from books like the Harlequin NASCAR series or even quilts from sisterstitches.com.
There are many other gifts you could buy for your NASCAR fan. These are just a few of the many options that are now available. Another idea is to check eBay for gifts that are easier to afford. Plus you may run into something you just couldn’t find anywhere else. Happy NASCAR Gift Giving!
