Blind Justice

Guest Author - Jessica Steinmetz

Finally there is a television show about a person with a disability that is real. The station ABC has a drama series called Blind Justice. Blind Justice is about a married detective that lost his eyesight during the line of duty. Being blind didn't stop him from being a detective. He fought to keep his job, and he succeeds.

The reasons why I endorse this show is because:

1. Blind Justice portrays having a disability just right. He's a normal person who happens to be blind. He isn't perfect. He has feelings just like anyone else. He has to work out not only physical problems, but also personal/marital issues.

2. Blind Justice portrays how people look and act towards people with a disability accurately. Many times I get the same kind of treatment as the detective does in the show. Some people just don't understand that having a disability doesn't mean we're abnormal.

3. It shows that people are capable of meeting their goals no matter the obstacles.

4. You get an inside view of what it is like to live with a physical disability.

Blind Justice is an excellent show. Check it out on ABC 10pm ET every Tuesday. Watch it and see what you think.
