FROM THE EDITORThe theme this month is Connectedness, the feeling that we belong; that we have a critical part to play in the grand scheme of things. This way of being has been a cultural and historical bond that has been woven throughout humanity since the beginning of time and is a particularly important one in the 21st century. Without connectedness, we can not repair what is wrong in both society and in our environment. We all need to become acutely aware that we each impact on all other things. The choices and decisions we make do matter - and not to just to us, our families or our immediate circle. They matter at the societal and the universal levels. The tarot card that this energy brings to mind is the tarot trump card: the HIEROPHANT.

September Full Moon Tarot Forum Trivia Contest The sixth Tarot Forum Trivia Contest just began on the September Full Moon on September 28th. The contest is just getting underway, so there is still plenty of time to join in, so why not come and participate? Every month, on the Full Moon, a new contest will unfold. The prize is an hour-long printed Tarot and Numerology reading from yours truly. This prize has a $90 value and is currently underway on the Tarot site. The August contest winner was Michael Boyle. The next contest will begin on October 28th.
Win the Trivia Contest! The Hierophant The Hierophant or Pope is the Number 5 card of the Major Arcana. This card usually signifies one of two main interpretations. One that is that advice and guidance from a professional source is available or coming: from a teacher, lawyer, spiritual advisor, etc. The other meaning is the representation of orthodoxy and conformity in one's life, and the observation of the moral, religious, or social conventions of one's individual culture which brings great fulfillment. This card also speaks to us about the value of education and the need for life-long learning. This can be in the formal sense where one undertakes further schooling or in an informal way as we quench our thirst for knowledge in general. Ritual and routine are favored and an indication or message to learn to coexist in peace with those around us. Marriage, union, relationships, blessing, consent are also favored. The Hierophant encourages us to face our fears and to move into the world and embrace the challenges that greet us wholeheartedly. This is not a card for the faint of heart. It points to strong inner character and crystal clear recognition of the beliefs and values that color our perception of the world.
